Privacy & cookies
How enquiries, software activation information and optional website analytics are handled.
Last updated: 9 September 2026
Uploaded repair files
If you use a file-processing tool, the uploaded file and its filename, selected application, job information and generated output are processed by the existing repair service. Send only data you are authorised to provide; remove unrelated personal information where possible.
The current tools are configured to retain original and generated files for 30 days, with scheduled cleanup after expiry. Downloads do not immediately delete the files. Security logs and records needed to address a complaint may follow separate retention requirements. Contact support@pengdatarepair.com about access or deletion. Do not share a private job token or download link.
Who to contact
Pengs Data Repair is the name used for this website and its product support. Contact support@pengdatarepair.com about personal information or this policy. Seller details applicable to an order are provided before the order is agreed.
Enquiries and activation information
The enquiry form opens your email application. Typing a message does not submit it to our server. If you send an email, we receive the information you include, such as your name, email address, product enquiry and relevant vehicle or module details.
For software activation, you send the code generated by the installed software and we return the corresponding activation key. We use this correspondence to issue and verify the licence and provide the agreed service. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or unrelated personal information.
Why information is used
We use enquiry, order and activation records to answer questions, confirm product suitability, arrange delivery, administer licences, handle complaints and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Depending on the applicable law, the basis may be steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, a legal obligation, or consent where required.
Searches and technical logs
Database search terms filter the reference records. They are not used by the search feature to build customer profiles. Hosting and security services may process IP addresses, browser information, request URLs and technical logs to deliver and protect the site. Avoid entering names, email addresses, activation keys or other personal information into public search fields.
Website analytics and cookies
Google Analytics helps us understand visits to the public website and improve our content. Analytics start automatically unless you have previously turned them off in this browser. No analytics prompt opens automatically. To turn analytics off or on, open Cookie settings in the footer and select Turn off analytics or Turn on analytics. Your choice does not affect access to the website.
Our analytics configuration sends page addresses without query strings or fragments, the referring website's domain, and selected campaign labels. Our custom events record product views, contact methods and the area in which a search is submitted; they do not include the search text, enquiry content, email address, software code or activation key. Contact events indicate an attempt to contact us, not a sent email or completed purchase. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in this integration. Local preview visits do not send analytics events.
When browser storage is available, we save changes to your analytics setting in this browser for future visits. If storage is unavailable, a change applies only to the current page. Google Analytics may set first-party identifiers while analytics is on. Turning analytics off stops further analytics collection through this integration and clears its accessible Google Analytics cookies; it does not delete information already collected. The integration sets the analytics cookie expiry to 12 months; Google account-side data retention is governed by the configured Analytics retention settings and applicable Google policies.
Service providers and international processing
Email and hosting providers process information needed for their services. Product files are delivered through MEGA links; MEGA may process connection and usage information when you visit its download service under its own privacy terms. Use of MEGA does not mean that activation codes are automatically uploaded there.
While analytics is on, Google processes the measurement data. Customer correspondence may be handled in China, and service providers may process information in other locations. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards or additional consent, those requirements must be met.
Retention and protection
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any related follow-up. Order and activation records are kept as needed to administer the licence, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal record-keeping requirements. We review whether information remains necessary rather than keeping unrelated information indefinitely.
Access to customer information should be limited to those who need it for the stated purposes. Do not publish a customer-specific download link, activation code or key in a Blog comment or other public area.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off website analytics through Cookie settings in the footer. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or other rights concerning your personal information, and complain to the appropriate supervisory authority. Contact support@pengdatarepair.com; identity verification may be needed before records can be disclosed or changed.
Deletion may be limited where information must be retained for a current licence, a legal obligation or a dispute. We explain any applicable limitation when responding.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the website, providers or processing arrangements change. The revision date appears above. Material changes requiring a new choice will be presented before the affected optional processing begins.
